Sensei

Ameer Mohamed

Sensei Moh began training in the year 2000 as child. He took a brief intermission from martial arts while attending university to study psychology and behaviour science. In his last year of school, he returned, excited to train again. His teaching experience began with volunteering in kids and adult classes as an assistant. He received his Sensei title in 2019 shortly after opening the dojo. Sensei Moh runs the dojo full time and is committed to providing a positive environment for everyone to flourish and train.

Sensei Moh is constantly seeking new, fun ways to challenge himself and his students. He has taught martial arts in a variety of contexts including high school programs, ladies self defence nights, camps and other special events. Sensei believes the training should be a mix of fun, challenging and uncomfortable; the adversity and obstacles we overcome in training should give us a mindset to succeed in other areas of life.

His favourite part of the training is studying katas and discovering the techniques, concepts and applications within them. He believes there is always something new to discover, even in things that seem familiar. Sensei Moh is excited to continue training and pursuing higher ranks in Karate and Kobudo. In his spare time he enjoys playing instruments, writing and playing video games.

He values every student, instructor and parent who has made this dream possible.
